Supporting Learning in More Ways Than One

At the Blue Tech Externship, I supported students as a coach, mentor, and photographer - capturing the moments when learning becomes confidence and helping tell the story of experiential education.

I'm grateful to Nishita Roy-Pope and the Courage Builder team for inviting me to be part of the journey once again.

Whether I'm facilitating a workshop, coaching students, mentoring professionals, interpreting between cultures, or carrying a camera, my goal remains the same:

Help create environments where people feel safe enough to learn, courageous enough to try, and confident enough to grow.

The photographs eventually found their way to the people who mattered most—the students themselves, who shared their own stories on LinkedIn.

To me, that's exactly where they belonged.

When people hear that I joined as a photographer for the Blue Tech Externship led by Courage Builder, they often assume my role was simply to take pictures.

In reality, the camera was only one of the ways I contributed.

As I moved alongside the students over three days, I had the opportunity to answer questions, encourage conversations, offer career advice, and simply be another supportive adult in the room. Then, whenever those "a-ha" moments appeared, I was ready to capture them.

In every frame, I could see it.

An idea turning into confidence. A question turning into direction. Curiosity becoming action.

The final presentation day brought a different kind of energy.

Laptop open, slides ready, judges in front. Peers in the room.

Standing at the podium is something you can't truly simulate. You can't fully understand the mix of excitement, pressure, uncertainty, and confidence until you're actually there.

Those are the moments I wanted to preserve—not because of the presentation itself, but because they mark real growth.

What makes programs like the Blue Tech Externship so valuable isn't simply that students complete a project. It's that they experience what professional collaboration feels like, receive feedback from industry mentors, and build confidence by doing rather than imagining.

Contact & Inquiries

Feel free to reach out anytime. For first-time clients, sessions are offered for the deposit amount only ($5). This deposit will be fully credited toward your second session, so the first session is effectively free.

I would love to offer the first session completely free, but in the past, fully free bookings sometimes led to no-shows. To prevent that and to protect everyone’s time, I’ve chosen this approach.
