Joining alliz: Building Communities That Support Career Growth

About a year ago, I joined alliz as a participant.
Today, I’m part of the team.

Access was free.
So I thought - why not explore?

At the time, I was looking for a few additional mentors in Japan.
That's when I noticed that the alliz founder, Congqin Chen was offering mentoring sessions. So I reached out.

Through the session, I realized it was built on a simple but powerful belief.

That careers today are unscripted.
That the first few steps deserve more thought and guidance.
And that mentorship doesn’t have to stay within company walls.

So, after wrapping up my work with MoveEz and Eric Wei last year, I carried that experience with me as I began spending more of my time with alliz.

On my LinkedIn profile, it looks like a transition.
But to me, it feels like continuity.

At their core, both communities are built on a similar belief.

So now, I find myself more deeply involved in the alliz community.

Still fractional.
Still cross-border.
Still building bridges between Japan and beyond.

When you hear the role "Community Manager", what kind of person comes to your mind, and what do you think they actually do?
I’m genuinely curious, because I’ve just stepped into the role myself.

I would love to offer the first session completely free, but in the past, fully free bookings sometimes led to no-shows. To prevent that and to protect everyone’s time, I’ve chosen this approach.
